A few weeks back, I had no idea about what a Face serum is? Why do we need it? How to use it? Which one suits my skin type, and many such questions were in my mind when I heard of the two words “Face Serum.”
But now that I know about the benefits of using a Face serum in daily skincare routine, I would love to share that with you guy’s as well. So let’s start:
What is a Face Serum? How & What it does?
A Face Serum is your daily skincare product which can be applied to your skin after cleansing, but before moisturizing so that it delivers all the ingredients directly into the skin. It helps in hydrating and retaining the moisture in the skin.
It is made up of smaller molecules that can penetrate deeply into the skin and deliver a very high concentration of active ingredients. This makes them a great option for targeting skincare related concerns such as wrinkles and the signs of aging etc.
When and How to use a Face serum?
Serum has to be used probably once a day after washing or cleansing your face well, and before the application of any moisturizer or cream. You can use the serum by gentle massage onto the skin & also by tapping it onto the skin gently depending upon the texture the serum has.
Can you replace a Moisturizer with a Face serum?
No! A Face Serum could be consisted of moisturizing ingredients so that the skin retains the moisture. But, that doesn’t mean that they can be called as Moisturizers in the traditional sense.
Facial moisturizers and creams are richer in case of moisturizing and hydrating the skin. They create a barrier on top of the skin so that the good stuff and ingredients are kept in.
