How to take care of Sensitive Oily Skin?

All about Sensitive Oily Skin Type & It’s Correct Care

How to know if you have Sensitive Oily Skin?

Some people suffer from the oily skin while others suffer from sensitive skin. However, there are also individuals that have both Oily and sensitive skin, which can be a bit more challenging. Just as normal oily skin, oily sensitive skin is also prone to acne and breakouts

Do you feel like your skin is prone to react to conditions like certain skin-care products or exposure to environmental conditions, such as sun, wind, heat and cold?

Do you have those regular stinging, burning, and itching sensations along with the pain of pimples have made your life a lot harder? Also, It’s ruining your confidence and destroying your social life too?

If Yes!

Then, it’s clear that you have Oily as well as Sensitive and acne prone Skin

As discussed in our previous article on Sensitive Skin, All your skin cells are programmed to react if these cells detect something that should not be there. It is these reactions that can lead to issues like dryness, redness, a stinging sensation or acne breakouts depending upon your skin.

How to choose products for Sensitive Oily Skin?

Sensitive Oily skin is more delicate and needs to be treated with extra care. This can also vary from person to person as some people may find sun exposure to be the reason for the sensitivity.

While others may find the products they use to be the reason for skin reactions.

When you have both oily and Sensitive Skin, choosing skin care products that address both issues is a challenge. For people with sensitive skin, it is useful to take a slower approach and to look out for products specifically designed for your skin type.

Remember to treat your skin with respect. After all, it’s the largest organ in the human body. Also, healthy habits such as keeping yourself hydrated, eating a nutritious diet and getting some exercise may improve your overall health.

Day Cream | Moisturizer & Sun Protection

There is a myth many people believe, that if you have oily skin, you don’t need moisturiser. This is a myth because if your skin becomes dry due to harsh irritating acne soaps or oily skin cleansers, your skin will produce more oil to lubricate the skin.

Moisturising can actually reduce the amount of oil your skin produces by keeping your skin hydrated and reducing your body’s need to produce its own oils. Also, it’s great to not to use too many products when you have skin sensitivity, so try to use products which have multiple advantages.

You can always go for a good moisturiser which has good amt. of SPF in it. Go for a mild, noncomedogenic sunscreen with an SPF factor of at-least 30 every time you are heading out.

I highly recommend you to try out the:

Weekly Skincare Routine Tips for Sensitive-Oily Skin

Face Scrub

Exfoliation is a must for every skin type to get rid whiteheads, blackheads, and dead skin cells. It stimulates blood circulation and polishes your skin. It opens up the pores and your skin starts breathing by absorbing the goodness of CTM, face pack and masks etc. very easily.

For sensitive oily skin, it’s important that your skin doesn’t get irritated, so choose your scrub wisely which has mild particles instead of the harsh ones. Don’t forget to do a patch test. Also, this rule applies over every product that you are going to use for the first time.

Face Mask

Using a face mask once or twice a week becomes mandatory to control oil secretion and clear clogged pores. For sensitive oily skin, we should look out for masks which have naturally soothing and anti-irritating properties along with controlling the excessive oiliness.

Face Mask cum Scrub

As I said earlier in the post that it’s great to not to use too many products when you have skin sensitivity. You can try to use products which have multiple advantages. HenceI highly recommend a product which works both ways as a SCRUB cum MASK combination.

I highly recommend you to try out the:
